How long does it take you to make a pens?
Well, that one is hard to answer precisely. The process I take is about a 10 step process. Somtimes it's more. All woods are different. Some take much longer than others because they might be very fragile or they are very hard. Other species turn beautifully and are realitively easy.
Some of the pens, like the School Spirit line of pens require sawing and gluing. That adds extra time.
If I had to put a time frame, I'd say it can take anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour or more.
Can I make a special request?
Absolutely! Email me with the details and I will give you an estimated time and price. Large quantities are no problem. It may take several weeks to fill large orders, so get your requests in ASAP. The turnaround time on special requests depends on the volume of requests. I work on a first come, first served basis.
Do you engrave the pens or boxes?
I don't recommend engraving the Pens. The woods I use are very interesting in grain and/or color. Engraving would just take away from the beauty of the wood.
Engraving boxes, on the other hand is a very good idea. But, at this time, I do not offer those services myself. I hope to add that feature in the future, or at least find somone to do that for me.
Do you offer quantity discounts?
I sure do. That option is not available on this site, but you can email me your requests to firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know what you're looking for.
The more you order that better the discount.
Do you have a store I can visit?
No, I don't have a store myself, but there are retail stores that carry these locally.
Sensibiliteas on 21 Cooper Street, Glens Falls, NY carries my pens.
More to come soon.
